Absolute truth

OK, a new post is well overdue. I have thought of something to post on.

"Absolute truth"

If there is no absolute truth, which is what most of America believes then anyone can believe anything.

Let me give you an illustration.

Bob says GOD is the true creator, but Frank says that the world was created by some totally random occurrence. Now both statements can not be true. Can they? They directly disagree.

Here is another one.

Bob, who believes in GOD, comes to a man that says that that you can get to heaven through any religion, which is in a tiny part true, and by good works, which is not even a teeny part true. Again both statements can not be true. can they? They disagree again.

Here is where thing get fun to try and explain.

The statement "there is no absolute truth" disagrees with itself. if there is no absolute truth than the statement "there is no absolute truth" can not be an absolute truth. Now haw dose that work? There can be absolute truth for me, and there can also be no absolute truth for you? That does not work!

Can my dog be sitting and laying at the same time? No!

I think I rest my case. Just be careful there are actually people that believe that, Like I said earlier, most of the America believes that.

this hole thing is from a book that my friend's mom was reading to us for there daily devotions called "Tearing Down Strongholds" I think. I revised it, made it my own, and put it in more simpler terms.

intresting post....i have to say i dont think Most americans believe that because have you ever of ARBCA? there are plenty of christians in America but yes alot of ppl do believe that.

and about the other comment serving God is glorifying Him! but we can glorify Him in Every thing we do, like i love to dance! but dancing is a way for me to glorify God! and its something i love to do because its a gift God gave me and i am going to use my gift to glorify Him!

now do you understand what i was saying?

There is only ONE absolute truth. The holy scriptures! Everything else pales away in comparison to God's Word. You wrote a very interesting post, but I don't know why you didn't talk about the Bible when the whole post was about absolute truth. Anyways, you're right in reminding us to think about what we hear in the world and to remember that none of it is absolute truth. We have to be careful about what or who we put our trust in.

oh yeah, and in reply to that comment on the previous post about the horoscope things on our profiles: We don't write those ourselves. If you type in your birthday, that whole horoscope thing just automatically goes onto your profile. I wish it wasn't there, though. ;\

i actually find many peole believe that way, they are very hard to talk to because you always get into a long debate

First, Faith that is what I meant in the second paragraph of you comment. I guess I did not explain it. I did right it at like 6:00am and I do not usually get up hat early and all so......yeah

Second Emily I am not sure why I guess that was running through my head when I wrote it so I thought everyone ells would think that same thing. That tends to happen a lot with me......

Oh yeah and, Faith, for the first paragraph. There are not that many true Christians in America. There is a hole lot that say they are Christians but do not live anything like they should. a lot, and I am not going to say most,(because i do not know if it is most) of the people who say they are Christians are people that go to a soft loving no-hell preachin' church an Sunday and then go live there lives like everyone ells.

I know this beccause I have known and have somewhat been one of these people in my life.

well i am not saying there are not ALOT of ppl like but we have confrencece like ARBCA and other things at our church and other churches that Ppl from All over America come and and they are christians i serve the food at lunch time and i talk and hear them talk to other ppl they are not like you say so i am just trying to say dont speak of what you dont know....you dont know all the ppl in america or even most. there are many who are like that but not most.

and God chooses the ppl that believe in Him in the bible there called the chosen ones ....it is a great gift to be saved and to be a true christian. we should pray and and be sad for those who dont believe the truth!

I hope i did not afend any body but i felt this needed to be said

Alrighty, about the most or a lot of people who say they're Christians aren't really Christians thing, I'll be one of the first people to say that's true. But, when I really think about it, it's not for us to judge weather or not they're saved. Only God knows what a person truly believes in their heart. But we can look at their life, and see if they're living like one of the Chosen.

i definitly agree w/ Jane! Sometimes you can tell a person is not a Christian by their actions, but other times you can't. It is God alone who truly knows the heart of His people.
